Advanced Electrolysis / Diathermy

What is Advonced Electrolysis / Diathermy

Safe and Effective Treatment for Common Skin Imperfections

Many common skin concerns, such as thread veins, skin tags, milia and other benign skin imperfections, can affect confidence and become more noticeable over time. While these concerns are usually harmless, many individuals choose to have them removed for cosmetic reasons or to improve comfort.

Advanced Electrolysis also known as Diathermy is a precise and effective treatment that uses a fine sterile probe and a controlled electrical current to treat a variety of superficial skin imperfections. This versatile treatment can address concerns that may not be suitable for other aesthetic procedures, helping to restore smoother, clearer and more even-looking skin.

At The Qlinic, every treatment is tailored to your individual concerns, ensuring a safe, professional and personalised approach to skin improvement.

How Does Advanced Electrolysis Work?

Advanced Electrolysis works by delivering a carefully controlled electrical current through a fine sterile probe directly to the targeted skin imperfection.

The current generates heat within the treatment area, allowing the unwanted tissue or vascular lesion to be treated with precision whilst minimising disruption to the surrounding skin. Over time, the treated area naturally heals and the imperfection gradually diminishes or disappears.

Because treatment is highly targeted, Advanced Electrolysis is an excellent option for treating small, superficial concerns that require precision and accuracy.

What Does the Treatment Involve?

Your treatment journey begins with a comprehensive consultation to assess the area of concern, discuss your treatment goals and determine whether Advanced Electrolysis is suitable for you.

Following a thorough assessment, the treatment area will be cleansed and prepared. Using a fine sterile probe, the targeted imperfection is treated with a carefully controlled electrical current. Treatment is highly precise and designed to minimise unnecessary trauma to the surrounding skin.

Treatment times vary depending on the type, size and number of imperfections being treated but are typically completed within 15–60 minutes.

Most clients describe the sensation as a brief warmth, tingling or mild stinging feeling that is generally very well tolerated.
