Chemical Peel
What is a Chemical Peel?
Reveal Brighter, Smoother and Healthier-Looking Skin
Over time, factors such as ageing, sun exposure, acne and environmental stressors can contribute to dullness, uneven skin tone, congestion and the appearance of fine lines. Chemical peels offer an effective way to refresh and revitalise the skin, revealing a brighter and more radiant complexion.
Chemical peels are advanced skin resurfacing treatments that use carefully selected exfoliating acids to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the skin's natural renewal process. By encouraging cell turnover and supporting the production of collagen and elastin, chemical peels can improve overall skin health and address a variety of common skin concerns.
At The Qlinic, every chemical peel is tailored to your individual skin needs and treatment goals, ensuring the most appropriate peel is selected for you.
How Do Chemical Peels Work?
Chemical peels work by applying a carefully formulated solution to the skin, encouraging controlled exfoliation of the outer layers. As the skin renews itself, fresh, healthier skin cells emerge, revealing a brighter and more even complexion.
Depending on the peel selected, treatment can also stimulate fibroblast activity, promoting the production of collagen and elastin to support skin firmness, elasticity and long-term skin health.
Which Peel is Right for Me?
At The Qlinic, we offer a range of MediMD chemical peels, allowing us to tailor your treatment according to your skin concerns and desired outcomes.
What Does the Treatment Involve?
Your treatment journey begins with a comprehensive consultation to assess your skin concerns and determine which peel is most appropriate for your skin.
Following a thorough cleanse, the selected peel solution is carefully applied to the treatment area and monitored closely throughout the procedure. Depending on the peel used, you may experience a temporary tingling or warming sensation during treatment.
Once the peel has been completed, a soothing treatment repair mask is applied to help calm, hydrate and support the skin's natural recovery process. While the mask is working, you may choose to enjoy a complimentary relaxing hand and arm massage, enhancing your overall treatment experience and providing a moment of tranquillity and self-care.
Treatment times typically range from 30–45 minutes, after which personalised aftercare advice will be provided to support healing and optimise your results.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?
The number of treatments required will depend on your skin concerns and the type of peel recommended.
Many clients notice improvements following a single treatment; however, a course of treatments may be advised to achieve optimal results. Your practitioner will discuss a personalised treatment plan during your consultation.
Regular maintenance treatments, alongside an effective home skincare routine, can help prolong and enhance your results.
Is There Any Downtime?
Downtime varies depending on the type and strength of peel selected.
Some peels involve little to no visible peeling, while others may result in temporary redness, dryness and flaking similar to mild sunburn. This usually resolves within three to seven days.
Daily use of a broad-spectrum SPF is essential following treatment to protect the skin and maintain results
