PRP: Skin Regeneration

What is PRP Skin Regeneration?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Skin Regeneration is an advanced treatment that uses the healing and regenerative properties found within your own blood to rejuvenate the skin naturally.

A small sample of blood is taken and placed in a specialised centrifuge, which separates and concentrates the platelet-rich plasma. This PRP contains growth factors that are then carefully introduced into the treatment area to stimulate collagen production, support tissue repair and improve overall skin quality.

PRP works by encouraging the skin's natural regenerative processes, helping to restore a healthier, fresher and more radiant appearance.

Key Benefits

• Stimulates natural collagen production

• Improves skin texture and tone

• Enhances skin firmness and elasticity

• Softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

• Helps improve the appearance of acne scarring and scar tissue

• Promotes a healthier, more radiant complexion

• Uses your body's own regenerative properties

• Minimal downtime

How does it feel?

Numbing cream is applied to the skin prior to therapy causing little or no discomfort. The majority of clients don’t feel a thing.

How often can you have PRP?

Results are cumulative, with each treatment building upon the previous one.

We generally recommend an initial course of three treatments, spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 6–12 months depending on individual needs and treatment response.

As collagen production takes time, improvements in skin quality and texture develop gradually over the weeks and months following treatment.

BOOK A PRP SESSION

A consultation will be carried out before this treatment. On booking there will be a short form to complete. If we need any further information we will be in touch.

What is the process?

On the day of treatment, a small blood sample will be taken from your arm by one of our qualified phlebotomist, much the same as when you have blood taken at the GPs. The blood is then processed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma.

The skin will be cleansed and prepared before the PRP is introduced into the treatment area using a series of small injections. The procedure takes approximately 60–90 minutes.

Mild redness, swelling or tenderness may occur following treatment, however most clients return to their normal daily activities within 24–48 hours.

Who is suitable for this treatment?

PRP Skin Regeneration may be suitable for individuals concerned with:

• Fine lines and wrinkles

• Loss of skin firmness and elasticity

• Dull or tired-looking skin

• Uneven skin texture

• Acne scarring

• The appearance of scar tissue

• Ageing skin on the face, neck or décolletage

During your consultation, your medical history, skin concerns and treatment goals will be discussed to determine whether PRP is the right option for you.
