Lip Enhancement
Are you wanting to enhance your natural lips, add volume or create a more defined shape?
Do you have an uneven lip shape that you would like correcting, thin lips that you would like enhancing or looking for an overall confidence boost?
If you’ve answered yes to any!
Lip filler treatment enhances the appearance of the lips by adding volume and definition. This non-surgical procedure involves injecting a dermal filler into the lips, resulting in plumper, fuller, and more youthful-looking lips. Lip fillers can also help correct asymmetry and reduce the appearance of fine lines around the
mouth. What a confidence boost!!
What is a Lip Enhancement?
Lip enhancements are a great treatment to help build your overall confidence. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally produced substance which is found within the connective tissues of the skin. It helps provide the skin with structure, volume and hydration. Through precise injections, small amounts of all natural hyaluronic acid are carefully placed into and around the lips. The placement of the product can be used to add volume, replace volume that has been lost, rehydrate and define the lip. We specialise in providing all natural results that are bespoke to yourself and your goals. Every lip is different and your goals, concerns and requirements can
all be discussed in a consultation prior to your treatment. We use the Juvederm range as our products of choice due to its advanced technology and longevity.
Areas that can be treated……
The lip, above the lip (perioral lines) and below/around the lip (marionette lines)
Who is Suitable?
A lip enhancement is suitable for adults over the age of 18 with some patients being treated into their 80’s. If you would like to add more volume to your lips to achieve a fuller lip or have concerns of thin lips, asymmetry or downwards turned lips, we can create subtle and natural results.
Not all adults are suitable - A medical assessment will be done prior to treatment, contra-indications include:
- Allergies
- Clotting disorders
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Diabetes
- Active Infections
- Taking immunosuppressants
In some cases we still will be able to treat you, however this will be discussed within a consultation, we may also be able to offer a different treatment in circumstances where treatment isn’t possible.
How does it feel?
Lidocaine cream is used to numb the area. Some people say it is painless, with others feeling a slight discomfort on the first few injections with it subsiding afterwards.
How many sessions are required?
1-3 sessions may be required depending on the client goals and facial/lip structure. If more than 1 session is required, this will be done over a prolonged period of time between 3-9 months to allow the lips to be built upon gradually and appropriately.
Is it permanent?
You will need to allow 2 weeks for treatment to heal for your final results however results are instant. Please bear this in mind when booking your treatment in case you have any important events planned to allow time to heal. Further treatments can be had 12-18 months to maintain goals but again, this is based on an individual basis and dependent on how fast your body metabolises the filler.
