What are Skin Boosters?

Skin boosters are a great treatment to help rehydrate the skin from the inside out. This type of hyaluronic acid treatment is injected superficially into the dermis. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin over a prolonged period which helps the skin repair and rehydrate itself. The benefits to this treatment include; improved overall skin appearance, boosted hydration, improved skin elasticity and firmer skin, reduction in fine lines and wrinkles and overall glowy skin.

Who is Suitable?

This treatment is suitable for all adults over the age of 18 with any age range and skin type.

A medical assessment will be done prior to treatment with contra-indications being:

- Pregnant or breastfeeding

- Active Infections

- Taking immunosuppressants

- Patients with autoimmune diseases

In some cases we still will be able to treat you, however this will be discussed within a consultation, we may also be able to recommend an alternative treatments more suited to your needs.

How does it feel?

Numbing cream is used prior to injections to help alleviate any discomfort. Most people say it is painless with some feeling a slight discomfort on the initial injection.

How many sessions are required?

2-3 sessions are required 4 weeks apart with a single treatment every 6-9 months. This will allow your skin to be hydrated and glowy all year round.

Is it permanent?

Once you have completed your 2-3 initial sessions. The longevity of this treatment is between 6-9 months with some people seeing the benefits up to 1 year later.
